Reprocussion for not treating Eye Dacryocystitis?

Today I found out that I have a clog up drain tube from my right eye to my throat. Doctor called it Dacryocystitis. The doctor tried to unclog it with a syringe flush three times. Pretty painful because all three times were unsuccessful. Back pressure definitely didnt feel good. I will be starting a training cycle for the military and won't be available to have any surgery to fix it for about 2 to 2.5 years. The only symptom I have is that my eye waters up and sometimes looks like I am crying. More annoying than anything. Are there any other reprocussions that can happen for not being able to treat this sooner?

  • Have you thought of getting a second opinion? If the condition is very bothersome, it's not a good idea to leave it untreated.
