I have strange visual disturbance for couple of months now. Here is how I would describe it.
I get very quick afterimages after seeing certain Neon signs, bright screens or even patterns in certain light background. The afterimage (always negative) persist for < 1 second - it is like a spark of negative light.
Anyone experienced this ?
It does not impact my day to day life but definately is something wrong. Dark borders of wall clocks for example will give me afterimage for < 1 second when I look away.
Any clues ?
I also verified if these images are from retina cause if I close one eye and look at the stimulant and then switch back to another eye after image does not appear. Only the eye which has seen the stimulant I get afterimages.

Any advice on what could have happenned ? Can the cones/rod cells suddenly become over sensitive
