Mu 7 yr old daughter has begun having these vision episodes. They only happen when she has been laying down, even for a short time. Usually when she lays down to go to sleep. Anyway, she says she starts seeing things bigger than they are. Like she thinks things are larger. And she mentioned that it felt like the bed was higher or that she was closer to the ceiling. It has only happened at night when she is laying down. Durng the day she is a perfect little girl. She is not complaining of seeing spots or headaches. Maybe dizziness but not sure. It only lasts a minute or two and then she says it stops. She is beginning to get herself worried which in turn gets me worried. Anything anyone has to offer would be wonderful.
Thank you

  • these symptoms usually start out as a way to stall bedtime and/or get extra attention and will worsen/evolve the more you pay attention to them. to reassure yourself, she could have an eye examination to rule out the only 'weird' thing this could be (a loose crystalline lens). otherwise her symptoms really don't make any physiologic sense...no worries though, your daughter is still perfect...

Usually during the onset of fever or allergic reactions, I just remember it going away after a few episodes. I don't think you have anything to worry about, I look back at it now as just some sort of adolecent anxiety attack.
