Hello to anyone out there with Sjogren's Syndrome!

I can't find out about a symptom I have - it's hard to desribe, but it's like my nerves are out of sync with the rest of me. If I'm walking, for example, I seem to 'feel' my footsteps a millisecond after they've happened, & I get a numb/pins-and-needles sort of feeling all over the inside of me, especially my face. For years I've called it Spontaneous Misfiring of the Synapses. Does anyone know anything about this?

  • Hi,I was diagnosed with Sjogrens a year ago. That was after a while of different symptoms. I am taking plaquenil now which seems to be helping quite a bit. I remember the feeling you are describing. I am a runner, so I remember running down the road and I felt off-center. Sort of like I was going to trip over my own feet. I was feeling a lot of symptoms back then and I remember being very tired. I'll try to remember what the reason was, if I do I'll let you know. It was somehow related, but it was a couple of years ago. One thing I do remember is that I was always very tired when it happened, and it happened a few times.Diane
