my friend got hit by a ball a few days ago, and he has suffered a medium deep cut on his eyelid, we thought it was a superficial minor external injury, but nevertheless we went to the hospital to make sure everything is alright.
but the doctor told us that after he scanned the eye, there were internall bleeding, my friend did complaine complain about blurred vision, the doctor said that is because the hit has caused the pupil to become irregular and the strain is causing the blurred vision.
my friend also felt pain, the doctor said its because the blood artilleries burst inside, thats why there's pain.
we were shocked to hear that. the doctor advised my friend to stay home for 1 month, and avoid any activity that will strain the eye, which virtually means no tv, no PC, no reading, no sports. he is very depressed and i am depressed too.
what i hope to know is if anyone can tell me, what are the chances tat he will recover? we didn't know that it will be this serious. the doctor said he can't comment and have to see how are things after one month. he only prescribed a cream to apply on the wound, and some eyedrops to be applied.
i can't believe they didn't even bother to stitch up the wound.
can someone help me? im worried sick about this..i need some form of advice or answers please....will my friend develop sight problems? will he be alright?
he is feeling very sad now.
