Can anyone please help me, my son is a healthy 3 year old who has never had any tears. The first doctor i went to see was no help what so ever and said 'what do you want me to do about it', which wasnt a great deal of help!
Im due to go on holiday and another doctor has told me to come back after and hes going to run some tests, but in the meantime can anyone give me any info?? Thank you

  • Im no doctor but ive heard of someone being born without tear ducts. I think the solution was he had to use a eye drops to help keep his eyes from getting dry. (Dry eyes can cause complications with them). Not crying could also be due to something like Autism but you dont sound like you've noticed any other issues with your son.

  • Tears are a combination of oil, mucous, and water. When the eyelid blinks, tears are secreted through tiny drains called puncta located within the upper and lower eyelids. Sometimes these drains become clogged or infected, which can reduce the amount of liquid secretion
