I have had terrible light sensitivity to my eyes since I was about 12. I'm now 33. I can't tell you how many times I've been to an eye doctor to only tell me nothing is wrong with my eyes. It is so frustrating!! I believe it's genetic as my brother, sister and grandmother have the same issue. I've been told to wear sunglasses, but who wants to wear them indoors??? If anyone has this same problem please let me know. Thanks!

  • I just strarted having this problem about a month and a half ago.I am 18 years old. The light causes my eyes to hurt and water. I understand your frustration. Doctors have not been able to find my problem either.

  • Light sensitivity is an allergic response. You have to find out what you are allergic to.Try NAET- it might be able to help.naet.com

  • hmm...I'm not really sure... It happened while I was on vacation and has continued since then...Did you have an infection? Did you start wearing different personal care products? Sunblock?I recently had that problem: It was a shampoo with Arginine extract- I used it once and 3 days later I was still in the dark.Take care.ps: did you get a vaccine before the vacation? I hope not.

  • I don't think my issue is an allergic reaction as I didn't change anything in my diet. And like I said my grandmother and some siblings have light sensitivity. Is it a nerve problem to my eyes? For some reason my pupils don't dialate as they should. I would think there's some doctor who might know more, but how to find one is a mystery to me. Let me know if anyone has any luck. Good luck to you all!
