Just after a bit of advice really as to whether there is anything that can be done for my left eyelid??

I have noticed that over the last few years my left eye doesnt appear to be symmetrical with my other eye, i have noticed that the eyelid appears to be what can best be described as swelling or a largish lump in the corner of the eye socket.. it stays pretty much as shown the in picture all day long and hasnt gone away for years and years?? some days the swelling is slightly less and some days slightly more.. the swelling / lump does not hurt at all but sometimes i do feel a slight twitch in the eye almost as if pressure build disturbing nerves etc.

I visited my local GP and he said its probably fat build up behind eyelid and there was nothing that could be done???

Please See attached picture :

Tried doing a few searhces but havent really come up with much to be honest.

If anyone has any suggestions i would be very interested to find out a bit more information

Many thanks in advance
