Hello everyone. I suffer from dry eye and have dry red eyes that burn all the time because of it. I know dry eye is a fairly common eye problem so I'm wondering if anyone here has heard of or tried Lacrisert? Its a tiny gel insert that you place into your eyelid that is supposed to moisturize your eye for 14-18 hours a day.

My dry eye is caused by my tears evaporating off my eye very fast. I took a tear break up time test the last time I was at an eye doctor and he said my results were very low. He gave me restasis wich I used for 5 months but it did nothing. Should I suggest Lacrisert to my optometrist?
