Hi!
I have been to eye doctors a few times this year and they always told me everything is fine. But I have these transparent floaters which are totally annoying. They totally scare me. Years ago I already noticed them BUT only when it was TOTALLY bright! And now I even see them when it's not bright. In fact I even see them when I am looking at the computer monitor because the monitor is so bright. They are totally dragging me down. I feel like within the last couple of days they have become worse and with worse I mean that I feel like I see them no much more than before. Why could this be? The past few days I was outside and the weather was normal and I saw them all the time! I did not have this before. I don't know why I am suddenly seeing them even at normal light. What can I do now? The eye doctors do not really seem to care about them they simply tell you they're normal or not dangerous but they are totally dragging me down. I have many of them and I see them all the time when I move the eyes. I simply don't understand why I see them now much clearer than ever before even at normal light. :(

  • try a second opinion, see another opthalmologist, if the floaters have been there for a year, and are really still bothering you, they may be willing to try to treat them surgically. If it hasn't been a year, your brain may realize on its own that the floaters are not supposed to be part of your vision, and learn to ignore them.

  • I would like to ask do you have any mental conditions such as High anxiety, Generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression. Of course any other mental condition can be considered to. I have had floaters since I was a child. Over the past year or so I developed what some call visual snow and my floaters are noticeable like yours. Very annoying! I have seen many doctors and had many tests and nothing can be found. Once opthamologist told me this seems to be common in people with anxiety disorders. Well, I agree. I seems that people with anxiety disorders can become whay I call hypersensitive. They feel EVERY little twitch, tingle, pain in their body. I mean nothing seems to get by them. I used to suffer from panic attacks, gad, ocd and depression. I only have some mild anxiety now but I am still hypersensitive to my body. My e-mail is bullets4u187@yahoo.com, if you have anxiety and want to discuss it please feel free to contact m! Hope you get well soon!
