Flashing Light/Headache

Well about an hour or 2 ago my hands were kinda sticky and i accidently held my optical mouse and got it sticky and a bit underneath it so i turned it over. I didnt look directly into the red LED light just where i was cleaning fora few seconds to wipe it off.
Then when i was done i was kind of getting a slight headache and in my vision i noticed somthing flashing but didnt know it was. It wasnt towards where i was looking, but at the time i was still on the computer and the flashing seemed to be just underneath my lower eyelid kinda like a lightbulb gone off and on quickly, and this lasted for a couple seconds.
The flashing went away and my headache was till there but soonly went away afterwards.
I was just curious what caused this? was it when i was kind of looking near the red LED light under my optical mouse? I just went to my Opthalmologist too yesterday too and all was fine.
Did i damage my eye or anything?
Appreciate if anyone can help share their opinions.
