Just thought I might ask on this board as I am at a bit of a loss on this one.
My sixteen month old is very slow developmentally. She is still not crawling or even pulling herself to stand. We have been referred to physiotherapy which seems to be going well.
I was absolutely convinced that part of this slow development was due to her eyes. She was never that interested in her environment, up until a couple of months ago, and seems to try to focus on objects by closing one eye and using the open eye to look around. It is quite odd to watch and so I was relieved to get an eye app yesterday.
The Doctor did lots of tests and although she is slightly long sighted this is completely normal for a child of her age. Is there something he could have missed? Has anyone else experienced a wronng diagnosis and found to have poor eyesight after further tests? Thanks. Your help is appreciated.
