Eye swelling

On April 10, I saw a doctor about eye swelling, and he said that it was allergy-related. However, I'm wondering whether this could instead be caused by an eye injury?

I may have injured my left eye on April 1 (I was sitting at my desk, leaning on my hand, with my palm in my left eye). I forgot to tell my doctor about it during my eye exam. However, he checked my eye pressure, examined my retina, and did a slit-lamp exam. All three looked normal. Is it possible that something escaped detection?
