Double Vision

I dont have a double vision problem actually, it is more of a self induced double vision. I can see clearly on a regular basis, but whenever I want to i can see double vision or what people with "diploplia" would see. I see the same object twice and i can make the object move horizontally to the left. I can control it on my own, but I always find my self just looking at things and "self inducing" double vision per say. Any idea why?? Im not sure if it is just a bad habit, or a tick or something, but any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. thanks
