My son, now 7 (and diagnosed last year as bipolar), has had dark circles under his eyes for several years (coming and going). My wife and I were talking about it tonight, and she told me that she notices the dark circles under his eyes whenever he's having a bad day, and that when she sees them, she knows he's going to lose his temper.
He is on medication (although I'm not sure of the name of it at the moment) for the bipolar disorder, but could the dark circles actually be attributed to the bipolar? More curiosity than anything else, but if someone could tell me for sure, I would appreciate it. Thanks for your time.
