I've had sore eyes for getting on for 8 months now - its been on and off, but recently its even worse. I have tried over-the-counter drops for tired eyes, allergies and also fake tears, all to no avail. I finally went to the Doctors last week and he diagnosed me with blepharitis but I'm skeptical about this, and the eye drops and massages don't seem to be helping.
I do not have dandruff and when you look at both eyes you cannot see anything wrong with them at all.
It's hard to describe how my eyes feel, but here goes: it's kinda like the feeling when you keep your eyes open for ages without blinking - I have that all the time, so hae to blink/squint constantly to alleviate (this doesn't really help much though.) It also kinda feels like I have 'wetness' around the eyes when I blink, but when I rub with my fingers I can't seem to find any discharge or anything.
I should point out that I use computer screens a lot for my job and at home - 8 hours at work and then maybe 2 hours in the evening also, but I'm not sure that this is the problem as plenty of people use PC screens this much without such severe symptoms.
It seems to get worse by mid day - at this point its so bad that I just feel like closing my eyes and sleeping. I get on average 7 and a half hours sleep a night and I'm a male of 25 years old, so I don't think its lack of sleep.
