Burning pain above left eye

The last couples of days I've had a terrible pain on my forehead above my left eye. It comes on quick and at first feels like pressure. Then it turns into a burning pain - like someone opened up my head and pored boiling water into my head. It lasts for a few min and then lets up. I've never had this type of pain before. It seems to come and go. My head is stuffed up and my nose on that side is stuffed up. Does this sound like sinus? I've had sinus problems before but nothing that hurts as bad as this does.

  • It sounds like it could be a sinus issue. I have frequently experienced discomfort around my eyes and forehead due to sinus congestion and pressure. Do you still experience these symptoms? If it went away on its own, that's great! Some people have acute symptoms, while unfortunately many other people have chronic sinus symptoms. If you still have the pain you describe, you can try nasal irrigation to clear out any debris. You can do this with a homemade solution or a commercial product like Sinox. These are widely-used practices that are generally safe and helpful. If you still don't find relief, post again and let us know your updated situation!

  • This is most definitely Migraine. It's often caused by stress, loud noises and sunny weather. maybe that's why you felt it again in the noon. I know the pain is killing. It's best to see a neuro specialist. there are certain drugs to ease the pain but they often cause dizziness, so better ask the doctor about that too cause the dizziness might affect your career or studies. Good Luck! :) :D
