I have for last last three weeks noticed blurriness at the bottom of my eyes in my peripheral vision, the dr thinks it might be retinitis pigmentosa but one of the first symptoms should have been loss of night vision and my night vision is perfectly fine???? Can anyone help me, i am going insane and i dont want to go blind. Has that every happened to you?

  • You could have cone-rod dystrophy or rod/cone dystrophy. Basically form of RP. You should get an some diagnostic testing performed to be sure...have you had a visual field test? If you did poorly on that, you should have further diagnostic testing performed. Your opthalmologist should have the equipment to do the visual field. If not, he/she can refer you. Scheie Eye Institute in Philadelphia or Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore MD are both institutions where advanced eye testing can be performed. Hope this is helpful.
