In 1986 I received a blundt trauma to my right eye.
Messed it up bad!,
My retina was torn, internal bleeding and pain.
It all healed fairly well except for the floaters and the sparkles when my blood pressure goes up. The nerves to my pupil were damaged, my pupil is about 30% larger than the left one and as a result bright light really messes me up.
I was always near sited anyway and have developed a cataract in that eye. 4 years ago I started using the computer to record music. Hour n hours!
Just last summer, within a few months I realized I cant's see worth a flip out of this eye. Doctor has no idea, 2 specialist have no idea, MRI shows no causes and it's gotten worse.
So the last time a the doctors office she tried somethng in the "lens machine that sits on your nose and they flip through them" machine and it was a lens that only lets a pin hole size bit of light through, and Shazaam, I could see!
She said that my vision is being distorted by too much light. So now I wear a patch on that eye at the computer and bought a better screen.
When I look through a pin hole in a piese off dark paper I can see but it "warbles" like a bubble glass and has a distinct bunch of smudges. is that the cataract that i'm seeing? without the pinhole piece of paper I can't see any word on the screen at all with that eye and with the paper I can see very well in little spots between th smudges and the warbless.
Any Ideas, Is this fixable with cataract surgery and pupil reducing drops?
