Blackouts and spasms?

Over the years I have had tiny black-outs. I always figured they were due to standing up to fast or just being tired, etc. But recently they have become more frequent (the blackouts came every few years, and now it's every few months) and have been lasting longer. I can usually tell when they happen, my vision goes black and I get an almost metallic taste in my mouth. At first I wasn't worried but then my arm started to get these violent spasms and begin to move while I had these black-outs. During one my arm went out on it's own and continually hit itself against the wall while I gripped some piece of furniture with my other hand. Any answers?
