I had a sore throat over xmas and cld, but the runny nose went quick.
I began to feel better but then I started to feel lethargic and all I wanted to do was sleep.
One afternoon I had a awful headache like my brain was touching my skull.
A few days later I had a awful boring pain in my left eye, my eyelid up to my eyebrow swelled, there was tenderness around the eyebrow bone leading up from my nose. The eyelid up from them eyeball up to the eyebrow was red and was sore.

I went to the dr and was told it was sinus and bought over the counter nasal spray. Two days later back again saw another dr who said it was neuralgia.

Went back again few days later, dr said sinus, prescribed becanase. That night the bit in the corner of my eye felt inflammed, it went a bit red but not the white of the eye.

back to the dr next day, dr was a bit baffled as I dudnt have any sinus pain when I bent over but she gave me anti biotics.

Been on them 4 days now, pain over eye has cleared (touch wood). But the swollen bit in the corner still there. I have a dry eye. Sometimes I think that my eye is more moist that what it usually is.

I had blepharitis in the other eye (lazy one) a few years ago, but that eye itched and had a white discharge etc, this one does not itch or anything like that.

I'm wondering can sinus effect your eye or what could be causing that feeling in my eye.

  • It sounds like you have a really bad sinus infection and are on the right path to treat it. Beconase might possibly cause this temporarily. Also, if you are taking any decongestants, they will definitely cause drying. Drink lots and lots of fluids while you are recovering and especially, finish all of your antibiotics! If you are not better after all of this, I would suggest seeing and ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor. Good luck

  • Ask doc to test for orbital myositis/psudo tumor. I really really hope it is just an allergy or somit. BEST wishes
