I really don't know what to do with this- I'm struggling to see what I'm supposed to do to deal with it as it seems to be getting worse.

I have bad period pains. As in sleepless nights, so painful I had to get an ambulance as I was unable to walk- my legs felt to weak.

I'd like to say, its just when I'm on my period- and the most painful part of it is just the 5 or so days I am on. But the past month I have had period pain all through the 28ish day gap inbetween. I also had very sore and tender breasts- they actually went up 2 cup sizes they were sore even to put bras on. Then there was bloating- worse when I was on my period but bloating around my hands and feet and stomach which seems to chage rapidly as I get to mid day.

I used to take Naproxen which is a NSAID pain reliever as Ibruporfen does nothing for me (it wont even take away a headache or muscle ache!) but the Naproxen hasn't helped at all the past 2 months so I am on Femenic Acid (or something like that!) It helps after about 2 hours after taking it and lasts about 3-4 hours before I need another. I am taking 500mg a pill. I am not supposed to take more then 3 a day, takeing 4 puts you at risk of a heart attack, 5 apparently is hospital admission stuff as it affects your heart. I struggle on 3, I'd like to take about 5 or 6.

I have had a pelvic scan-xray and it showed up nothing. Zero. I am assuming they search for everything and nothing showed up at all. I am at a loss as to what to do as if nothing shows up on the x-ray, does that mean there is nothing it can be? that everything has been checked?

Its just odd, all the symptoms and getting worse: the sore breasts and continuation of the period pains (all be it not at such a demaning level) all start 2 weeks after my last period ends and last up until the new period starts.

I exercise alot (I have been told too much) and I get reduced pain when I exercise (intense cardio) but I only have to slow down slightly -ie from 11km/h run to 9.5km/h or walking fast and the pain comes back. Its just not realistic to be working at full wack every second of the day and yet I can't see anything else to do. (When I am actually on my period- that pain is not possible to work out through- I have tried, its just too painful to move).

I need some help but don't know where to go or what to do- the pains just are too bad to cope with when I am on my period, and never really go away for more then a week. Its like I don't get a break at all. I don't know what to say to my GP who will likely say "well nothing showed in the scan so there is nothing wrong and nothing I can do" and I will have to continue to exist with this and watch it continue to get worse.

I eat well- no refined foods, alot of fresh fruit and steamed green veg, Omega 3 oils and about 2-5 liters of water a day (I go to the gym 2 hours a day and do cardio)

Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'd be really grateful as I am at the end of my teather and fed up of the sleepless nights!

She had severe stabbing pelvic pain since her period began at age 12. She was diagnosed with endometriosis, underwent a laparoscopic (CO2 laser removal) of the endo. After 1 1/2 years following surgery, the symptoms have gradually been returning. However, we were told by the surgeon that they could return, taking anywhere from one to 7 years to return. She also experienced pain 3 out of the 4 weeks every month, as you said, not getting any breaks. My suggestion to you is to find a good Infertility Specialist in your area because they have the most experience with this type of surgery, research all options on line, and see if you can find some relief. She has been on birth control pills for years to limit the growth of the endo and to reduce the heavy bleeding. There are other medical options also, but many seemed to have serious side effects. But consider all your options. Good luck!
