I'm 24, female, 5'2" 123 pounds, moderately active. I feel like I shouldn't be having all these problems, but here's what's going on... Any advice/support/suggestion is greatly appreciated.
For about 10 years now, I have had problems with my menstrual cycle and digestive system, and they're just getting worse. I get extremely nauseous after I eat. Sometimes I will vomit, but most of the time I am able to keep it down. I have severe pain in my lower left abdomen. It mostly occurs right before my period begins. My cycles are completely irregular, ranging from 25 to 45 days and usually last about 8-10 days, with very light bleeding most of the time. In fact, I usually just use a panty-liner all day without even filling that.
Also, I'm not sure at what point this started, but I'm basically going bald. I don't think my hair is falling out at an abnormal rate, but it's definitely not growing back to replace the shedding. My hair is now very thin on the top of my head, especially at the hairline on my forehead.
And I have bad acne, all over, lots of scars. I use Differin gel, but it's still very difficult to manage.
One gynecologist told me that I have PCOS after doing an ultrasound. She was very rude and didn't do any other tests to confirm this. She also didn't give me any treatment options. A few months later I got a second opinion. Another ultrasound was performed, which showed that everything was normal, and I didn't have any cysts. The second GYN also tested my blood. Everything came back normal except for my testoterone level. It was within the normal range, but a little on the high side. I've been taking Aldactone for this. So far it hasn't helped any. I still have acne, my hair is not growing, and my periods are even more irregular. My last one was on January 5th, which last for 10 days (again very light bleeding) and I haven't seen any sign of it since! Next month, I go back to the doctor for a follow up, and I think they are going to schedule me for the endometriosis test.
I went to my regular doctor for my nausea. An ultrasound was done of my upper abdomen. My doctor said this showed I have gallbladder disease because the wall of my gallbladder is too thick. Next week I have a HIDA scan to confirm this. He gave me Omeprazole, but this has not helped any.
I'm so overwhelmed by all this. I just want to figure out what's going on with my body and be healthy. If anyone has insight, it would be most helpful! Thanks for listening.
