I have been in pelvic severe pain for going on 8 months now. I am just about at my wits end. I work at a job which requires heavy lifting daily, and I never had any problems with that. One day I felt a pop in my lower right side and two days later I had swelling in my pelvic area, with more swelling on my right side and I felt like my insides were going to fall out. Ater many tests I was found to have varicoses of the uterus. My doctor did a complete hysterectomy because they were so bad. 2 weeks later I still had pain, very severe, my swelling had not gone down, I went to my primary care Dr. to get some answers about my swelling and pain. Now I am being treated by a urologist, just had a cystoscopy, and biopsy of the bladder yesterday. (waiting for the results.) How we moved to the bladder from the uterus I don't know, but I need results to end this pain,, Does anyone have any information or advice of what to do next, and did heavy lifting play a part of my varicosis of the uterus? I am seeking any knowledge I can get on this subject. Thank you for listening. RY

  • I have recently had pain with my uretha. It feels like I constantly have to go to the bathroom and I have spasms that hurt alot. I went to see a urologist who said he thinks it might be endometriosis. My OB/GYN did an MRI and that is what it is. I am waiting to here the extent and stage. I was beginning to think I had lost it because they couldn't figure out what was wrong. I have been having cramps really bad for years and been on various pain medications. I would have yourself checked for endo. Good luck and hope you find answers.Debbie

  • I had two separate things wrong with me - this is really for both the previous posters. 1) I had inflamatory polyps partially blocking my Urethra...aggreviating for a long long time as one of you describe. I went through all the IVP's etc.Once removed I could pee freely and have had no other issues in that dept. Particularly odd in that when I urinated it felt as though my bowels wanted to drop. This sensation stopped when my polyps were removed because I discovered my body had been compensating by bearing down to urinate and this stopped immediately. A bonus indeed!2) I had an ovary removed and found it was attached to my BLADDER. I then had a total hyst because everything else wanted to attach itself to my bladder so...bye bye uterus and all and have had no more problems with the full vague pains. These problems are two distinct medical problems and not necessarily related - I think. I'm just a housewife. I believe I had a virus of some kind that started the polyp thingy. This is not your problem from what you say. I'm just letting you know from personal experience that yes...you can go from the bladder to uterus and everywhere else. I don't even doubt you tore some scar tissue that attached itself somewhere inside. This pulls and hurts as well. I know.Good luck to you both and I hope you see pain free days ahead. I do except I'm mental because of my thyroid.Kacy
