I'd just like some input if any can on maybe seeing a endocrologist.Do i need a doctor reccomendation to go? and i also dont have health insurance so need to know what rules on that too. I've been to about 23 doctor's already and the only thing that's come of it is the loss of my job a lot of medical bill's and a precription for prozac wich i refuse to use. I'd say my symptom's have been going on for many year's but have become more noticeable over the last 3 years. The main one being that if i get around anything that smell's strongly like cooking oil's, household cleaner's, perfume's my lung's fill with fluid and it take's about 6 hrs for them to clear back up. They also keep learning to react this way to new thing's. I stopped using Simple Green because of my lung's reaction to it so started using Fantastic instead and now my lung's react to that as well. I've been tested for allergie's and asthma and both are a strong negative. I lost my job because of this symptom having to leave work 12 time's in a month for medicated oxygen. My body temperature is alway's low average is around 97.6 only time it get's up to 98 is when im sick. My blood pressure is 94/62 wich is low and good but i also smoke so i dont know how it can be that low. My immunity seem's to have fled to some unknown location, last year i managed 14 cold's and 2 flu's and they tend to hang around a bit. I also keep getting bacterial and fungus infection's as well, have 4 going on right now. My hair is falling out and turning grey, im only 28 and there's been no early greying in my family. I have a loss of appetite, it's hard to get myself to eat sometime's. I have several swollen lymph node's the one behind my left ear, 3 in my neck,1 in my leg, and now one on the side of my face by my right ear. There's also about 15 other symptom's too, wierd stretch mark's appearing, skin problem's, memory problem's, and irratability to name a few. Another large problem is the tube's in my face going from nose to ear keep collapsing. My left one now will not go back up and it's sucked in my left ear drum so now that ear bleed's a lot and bother's me. Needless to say with the left ear problem my balance aint so great anymore and they say i need surgery to fix it. I worry my right side is gonna collapse too and do the same thing to my right ear drum then im really up a creek i guess. I eat a very healthy diet when im able to make myself eat other wise i drink nutrition shake's, i drink a lot of water never soda, get lot's of excercise, take vitamin's and herbal supplement's, take vitamin c. I'd appreciate any word's of wisdom's on this one

  • I have all those symptoms except ears and i am gaining wieght, i thought i had cushings but fineally got to a endocronologist and think I have acromegaly, has your shoe and ring size gone up? Both of theses desees usally you gain wieght but i have seen some people say they did not. Some endocronologist you have to be referred some you do not.If I was you and you can not get doctors to see you, I would research and write down every symptom and then go to an emergency room where they have to see you. You may have to go back a few times or go to diffarent ones. What part of the country do you live in?Whe I did not insurance I went to the health department and saw really good doctors and nurses. They were limited on what tests they could do but were able to do alo tmore than I thought.

  • Sounds like you have developed MCS (multiple chemical sensitivities) This sometimes happens when the immune system is compromised. You seem to be doing a lot of good things- but YOU SMOKE??? That negates all your Vitamin C and B vitamins, and many others right there!!! Have you ever seen a list of ALL THE DEADLY TOXINS THAT GO IN CIGARETTES??? How can you say you are "healthy" when you expose yourself (and Others?) to such a toxic cocktail on a regular basis? My ex-boyfriends brother describes himself as "healthy" because he eats well and worked out. But he's a smoker for 12 years (he's 32) and in stage 3 of lung cancer which now spread (quickly) to his liver ducts and intestines. The Dr's. wont even give him the chemo (which is also TOXIC) BECAUSE "his immune system won't handle it". I used to smoke for a few years (when I was young) and became ALLERGIC TO IT. i COULDN'T EVEN GO IN A RESTAURANT FOR DINNER IF THEY ALLOWED SMOKING. IT ENDED UP WITH A MIGRAINE (with all the trimmings i.e. nausea, vomiting, couldn't stand lights, vertigo and alot of PAIN. It was the ONLY THING THAT TRIGGERED MY MIGRAINES. Eventually, I got diagnosed with "Multiple Chemical Sensitivities", but these only caused headaches and dizziness. NOT 2 DAY MIGRAINES LIKE CIGARETTE SMOKE BROUGHT ON. THANK GOD I NEVER HAVE TO SMELL IT AGAIN- FLORIDA IS SMOKE FREE. I won't even go to my mother in laws house to visit because she smokes indoors and I end up sick and regretting it every time!!! Point is- every imaginable POISON ROLLED UP IN ONE CANCER STICK AT A TIME IS BEING INHALED (INGESTED) BY YOU--yOU MIGHT WANNA LO0K RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSE (LITERALLY) FOR THE CULPRIT. OVER 70% OF SMOKERS ARE ALLERGIC TO THEIR OWN HABITS. YOUR BODY IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING AND IF YOU INGORE IT- YOU'LL REGRET IT. LOOK UP EFFECTS OF SMOKING AND IMMUNITY, ETC.MAKE AN EDUCATED DECSION. AT LEAST THEN YOU CAN'T SAY "I DIDN'T KNOW"

  • I agree with 111healer. I did some research on Multiple Chemical Sensativities in my quest to find out what's wrong with me and it sounds like you have a lot of the symptoms.

  • Sorry Healer about the lung cancer, but you do realize lung cancer that early mean's Radon and not smoking induced? It take's many year's for smoking to cause lung cancer. The most common cause of Chemical Sensitivity is all the additive's and other junk added to food these day's.
