I am hearing that these TSH tests are unreliable on this site. I have had two and they are all normal. However, my thyroid is enlarged and I am extremely tired, irritated, frustrated, and I am gaining weight. Now I may also be depressed as well....so many problems. My doc did say that if i wanted i could have an ultrasound. At first I was thinking that 2 neg tests, I was straight. I thought maybe the doc was just trying to get insurance money for a test not needed. I guess i should request it huh?

  • Yes.... I had a test last winter and my levels looked questionable. My doctor was deplyed to Iraq so my new doctor tested me again at my request this summer and everything went the opposite way but within their "normal range". I had a thyroid ultrasound and my right is swollen .5 more than my left. Because it is not a huge difference they are leaving that theory. They think I am going insane lol. Good luck! The military clinic I have to go to don't seem to care and don't want to spend money. We pay for this care.... why not give me what we pay for?Sorry .... I am just a little *****d!Good Luck!
