I've noticed that from time to time, my urine/feces/flatus smell sweet. However, I have had my glucose tested and it has been normal, fasting & non-fasting. My fasting glucose was 87. I haven't yet seen the lab report for my non-fasting glucose.

Are there any other disorders, that aren't diabetes, that can cause this sweet odor? I'm a 26 year old female.

I've also been experiencing
-dry skin
-dry mouth (no increased thirst, but urine is clear)
-constipation and diarrhea, sometimes both in the same day
-palpitations
-chest pain
-shortness of breath
-difficulty staying asleep
-suddenly waking from sound sleep
-irregular menstrual cycles
-lower abdominal pain
-strange rashes on my left shoulder & neck that come & go
-low body temperature
-dizziness & feeling faint (fainted last year)
-nosebleeds
-inability to remember things (appointments, scheduled tasks)
-difficulty concentrating & thinking clearly
-a lot more pimples on my face than I've ever had before
-some days I cannot eat enough food, other days I can go all day with barely eating at all
-my hands & face swells sometimes (not visibly noticeable, but I can feel it)
-lost over 10lbs in 2 weeks without trying (125lbs to 115lbs)

I've had normal CBC, kidney function, liver function, cortisol, testosterone, electrolytes & thyroid. Normal blood pressure. My heart has been thoroughly checked out, and I do have a lot of PACs, PVCs, couplets and regurgitation through my mitral, tricuspid & pulmonic valves.

  • Hello, I am sorry you are going through this! I know what it is like to be terribly ill and no one believe you, to me this sounds like Lupus. I would get checked, Lupus is a condition that can be deadly if not treated but with proper medication is managable. I hope you get feeling better and have a great day.I've noticed that from time to time, my urine/feces/flatus smell sweet.
