No one seems to be able to give me any answers and I'm starting to get concerned. To start, I did have a normal pregnancy in 2005 where I was consistently 20 lb overweight for about 2 years. The first time this started was last year, I was 19 years old, it was my 2nd year of college and within 2 weeks I gained 70 lb. I was sleeping 18 hours a day, had absolutely no appetite, started losing a lot of my hair, was suddenly breaking out, had bright red stretch marks on my arms, stomach and legs, and loose stools. Sounds like typical hypothyroidism no? Had my thyroid checked and although it was checked multiple times it was always in normal range. I tested with a low cortisol level, negative for auto-immune and nothing else stuck out. It did go from low to high on the normal range though within a few months of each other. I'm a health food freak, always all natural, organic and fresh. I worked out at least 3 times a week for 2 hours each time doing the recommended mix of cardio and mild strength training. I lost about 20 lb in the summer time and then it all came back again in fall. This time I gained 35 lb in one week. This time, at 20 years old, I've been losing more hair, I'm actually sleeping less, my skin around my face has become rough, still no appetite, I seem to have a high resting pulse (98 bpm), getting more stretch marks and the loose stools have never stopped. I seem to be much "puffier" than last time particularly in the face, arms, hands and feet. Everything is still testing normal. I'm eating even less, (1300 calories a day), I'm working out 2 hours everyday, and really don't know what else to do. I'm starting to give up. Please help, I'm getting desperate. :(Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
