i havent slept properly for 20yrs, clenched teeth, twitches, nightmares, stage 3 sleep disturbance wake up tired, been in sleep lab 3 times no proper diagnosis, then 3 weeks ago i had enlarged tonsills and abcess throat, and ent put me on 30mg predisolone, and serratio peptite, on third day taking tablets my clenching stopped my twitching stopped and my sleep was normal; i then stopped medication as my throat had cleared up, what happened did the predisolone work on something, what tests should i have now?? have i stumbled on to a cure or a cause?? should i see an endo , or immune specialist?? im 48yr old male otherwise fit but tired. paul

  • I would suggest finding an osteopath or naturopathic physician, they tend to be better at diagnosing endocrinological issues than endocrinologists. Steroids will make you feel great in the beginning, but are only a temporary fix.i havent slept properly for 20yrs, clenched teeth, twitches, nightmares, stage 3 sleep disturbance wake up tired, been in sleep lab 3 times no proper diagnosis, then 3 weeks ago i had enlarged tonsills and abcess throat, and ent put me on 30mg predisolone, and serratio peptite, on third day taking tablets my clenching stopped my twitching stopped and my sleep was normal; i then stopped medication as my throat had cleared up, what happened did the predisolone work on something, what tests should i have now?? have i stumbled on to a cure or a cause?? should i see an endo , or immune specialist?? im 48yr old male otherwise fit but tired. paul

  • I am glad the prednisolone helped you sleep; usually the opposite happens.
