I'm female, 5'2", 174 lbs. My BMI is 31.8, fat 36.9%. I work out 5 days a week at a gym, burning an average of 340 calories per day. I comsume aprox. 1520 calories a day. Protein 44 grams, fiber 125 grams, 455mg sodium, 1298mg potassium, 480mg calcium, 2 1/2 cups fruit, 2 1/2 cups vegetables and a good multivitamin. I don't drink alcohol ever, no red meat and no caffiene. My thyroid is normal. I had Metabolic Syndrome X 6 years ago. I'm always cold. My hair has changed. I have constant nerve pain. I heal slowly. I've had chronic depression/anxiety and insomnia since before 5 months old.
What the F+CK is wrong with me????

  • Are you positive your thyroid is ok? Many people including myself had bad thyroid symptoms with so called normal blood levels. Get your results and post them on this forum or one that deals with thyroid problems. I was in agony for months before my TSH reached what the lab said was abnormal and diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I had all your symptoms. My hair changed, my facial expression changed, I lost lots of hair (still do even on meds), I was fatiuged and fell asleep as soon as I sat down. I was gaining weight and unable to lose anything. I was depressed, and had nevepains and I also lost the outter part of my eyebrows. All this BEFORE I had abnormal levels of TSH. Kiera

  • Have you had your hormone levels checked? Do you have a normal menstrual cycle?I was diagnosed with progesterone deficiency and cannot lose weight as well. At least some of my other symptoms have been managed and some weight came off, very slowly at least, with treatment.I use natural progesterone replacement cream. I got the prescription from an OBGYN and by ordering a lab saliva test kit - I feel fabulous now besides the fact that I am still over weight. I am not trying quite as hard as you are now because I just started a new job, I feel it would be worth a shot to look in to.
