Hi! My question is for any other women out there who have gone through a post-partum thyroid problem.
In April of 2010 I had a miscarriage and about six weeks afterwards, I began having odd symptom. Test after test and MRI and Neurologist visits couldn't show anything wrong, but my thyroid test on a blood draw showed I was slightly hyperthyroid.
Now, reading up on it, I see that usually the hyperthyroid stage of PPT lasts only 1 to 4 months on average, but Mine is going on 7. (Recent tests show I am still slightly over-active.) I was put on a low dose of Methimazole to help, and it has some, but I still have symptoms...has anyone else suffered a long bout with the hyperthyroid or even the hypothyroid stage?
