hi i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the difference is between addisons disease, adrenal insufficiency, and adrenal fatigue?
are they all the same thing and do you treat them all the same way?

  • Adrenal insufficiency and Addison's are general the same. The one difference can be if it's primary or secondary. Primary means the adrenal glands aren't working. Secondary means the adrenal glands aren't working because the pituitary isn't working. Adrenal fatigue is a temporary lack of the hormones that the adrenals produce, but the adrenal glands are likely to recover and return to normal function.
