At least 20 years ago I fell on some ice and rammed my elbow, with my weight behind it, onto the hard ice. It hurt for awhile, then the pain went away. After that I noticed a loose chip at the end of my elbow. The chip would float around at times and depending on the angle of pressure on it could cause quite a bit of pain.
At times the chip seemed to calcify onto the bone so I had no pain unless another injury knocked the chip loose again. The main pain would be while sleeping. Depending on how I moved and pressure, pain would wake me up.
Then, not enough pain to even notice. I injured it again recently, the chip didn't come loose but I am getting carpal tunnel symptoms. My right thumb has a pins and needles numbness. It isn't the pain that bothers me, just the fairly constant tingling and numbness.
Can the elbow injury and the recent numbness be related? Thanks.
