For a few days (less than a week) now, I've had a strange sound in my left ear. When I lean over to pick something up from the floor or brush my hair, I hear a funny "whoosh" sort of sound, like there's cotton or something in my ear canal. I've had a middle ear infection (in the same ear) this year that was succesfully treated with amoxicillin. There is no pain, loss of hearing, redness or swelling. It's not uncomfortable, just weird. I think it might have to do with my taking showers every night (or every other morning) and maybe some water got in my ear.
So... Any idea what it might be? Should I talk to a doctor, wait for it to resolve itself, or wear earplugs in the shower so it doesn't get worse?
