Vein like bump on roof of mouth

Hey, I recently began grinding my teeth, for an unknown reason, in my sleep. I have done this before and it was only for a day or two, but this time, one of the teeth on that side on the top was loose, and I believe it was infected, because now I have a vein like bump runing, from the tooth on the inside, to the back on my mout, along the roof of my mouth. It appears to be somewhat like gingevitas, but its muc different then the usual.
I found a picture that might be helpful to describe what i mean, and may explain the reason it seems like a vein... I hosted it on my photobucket, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v717/fright01/Untitled-2.jpg
Please help me. I plan on seeing a doctor or dentist possibly tommorrow but i would like to know whats happening in my mouth :\ Thx
