I am 24 year old female and next week I am going to get a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy procedure done post peritonsillar abscess and chronic tonsillitis all of my adult life. I am concerned about what I have been reading regarding the effects of anesthesia, the recovery pain, etc I have two small children at home and my husband is in and out of town with work. I have arranged for help and have taken two weeks leave from work. I am not looking for a sugar coating just wondering if anyone else has experienced this procedure and would share their experiences, and if it was worth it in the long run?
