I will be getting a tonsillectomy soon but I'm scared. I'm 26 years old and I heard that the older you are the worse the pain is. How long will it last? Will percocet be enough of a pain killer for me? I know that tylenol 3 didn't do anything for me when I had my wisdom teeth out a few years ago. Does the pain differ with the different surgical procedures such as cold scalpel versus coblation? Should I ask to have one type over an other?
