tiny bumps

Last week i noticed a small bump on my ear lobe, very close to the cartilage where it connects to the jaw. The bump was painful to touch and felt hot, it is still present but does not hurt as much to touch. Also a similar bump has appeared on the roof of my mouth on the same side of head as the ear. Is this just a coincidence or are these symptoms to concern me?
