Terrible sinus issue...

I have had sinus issues ever since I was young. I had my nose broke a few times in accidents as a child. Then in my early 20s I had deviated septum surgery...then I was always having dry and bloody sinuses, scab formation, stuffy nose, etc. Eventually by my late 20s I had some polups removed but the blood and scabs continued in the nasal passages. So here I am today, my left side is always clogged because I have scabs in the front part of the nasal passage...until eventually it comes out and a new one forms. Basically I am in a never ending battle with blood and dried nasal passages. I tried everything, but no luck.:(

Has anyone found a solution for something similar?

Thanks
Rich

  • Can sinus problems lead to other problems or diseases? I have had problems with blood, scabs, etc in this left nostril for over 10 years with no relief. :( I would think so because it is like a constant open wound.

ThanksRichHi there i really sympathise with you as i have the same problems with my nose and it has gone on for 1 yr now; ive been constantly on anti-biotics which calm it a little down but im still suffering. Im thinking after visiting doc many times with no cure that im going to ask to see a skin specialist for the nose area as the skin on the tip of my nose seems to be thickening. Hope you get to the bottom of your case if you find cure please let me know my email address is traet2@yahoo.co.uk thanks

  • What exactly have you tried topically? And has your scab/area been swabbed to rule out MRSA or other staph infection? Is there pus as well as bleeding? Does your wound bleed or does your whole nose bleed (epistaxis)? Things to try if you haven't yet: colloidal silver, both topical and internally. A fresh clove of garlic inserted in the affected nostril - very antimicrobial and antibacterial! Herbal Aloe Force skin gel. Tea tree oil. Vitamin E - high amount of IU's topically. High doses of vitamin C to help promote wound healing. Wild oregano oil to fight infection. A neti pot to help wash the sinus passages. PROBIOTICS daily if you have taken any antibiotics to treat this problem. You need the probiotics to get your system back on track. Best wishesDOM

  • Will these help to heal the area? Yes, that is why I mention them. Since yours is a chronic condition it may take awhile, but do give these a try - especially the garlic, colloidal silver, and Aloe Force skin gel - I swear by them. DOM

DOM Thanks, so you just stick a raw garlic clove in your nostril? Where do you get the colloidal Silver and Aloe Force? Thanks! I just checked on their site. Do you take the Aloe Force juice as well? I see they both contain colloidal silver.

I see they both contain colloidal silver. The Aloe juice is a very good product and is helpful if you have any IBS symptoms or immune problems. I recommend the gel to use topically...it is great stuff - I once had an abscessed tooth and used this topically and it really helped! What I'd recommend with the garlic, and I know this sounds crazy:rolleyes:, but take a sizeable clove and cut it in half. Let it sit for a few minutes and then insert this in the affected nostril, with the cut side touching the affected area. This might be a good thing to do at night, but don't leave it in overnight - just for a few hours if you can, then remove and discard. If you experience more discomfort while doing this, then discontinue. Garlic has amazing properties and I really think it would help promote healing. Colloidal silver you can find at any good healthfood store or online Best wishesDOM

The Aloe gell already has colloidal silver from what I know. Is that good enough? They say I need the juice as well. This is from the company: In the case of any chronic health issue, it is good to support all the systems of the body with the Herbal Aloe Force Juice, and use the Herbal Aloe Force Topical Skin Gel topically on the sores directly. This way, you will be doing a dual approach: from the inside out and the outside in. The FDA does not allow us to make health claims of any kind, but we can share our customers results with you. Many of our customers that use this dual approach with our products have reported so much success. We even have reports from persons using the skin gel on bed sores (notoriously difficult to heal), and they report that after just a day, they see new pink skin growing! In the case of a chronic condition such as yours, where there may be an underlying issue that is causing the chronic sinus problems, the Herbal Aloe Force Juice will support those problem areas, since aloe vera has an amazing ability to go where ever it is needed in the body.

I have been trying the garlic but sometimes it burns pretty bad and causes me to sneeze but I keep trying. I found a local store for the Aloe gel.

Yes, give the garlic a good try...if the burning continues to get worse I would discontinue this however. Glad you found the Aloe gel - I love this stuff! The aloe juice is very good, can be used as a cleanse to detoxify the body, as well as an immune builder to strengthen the body. I have some patients with chronic illness (IBS, Hep C, Parkinsons) who respond very well to the Aloe juice...tastes kind of funky, but you can mix with juice... The studies I've seen on aloe to help HIV and cancer have been very promising. So with chonic illness I think it would be a good supplement to try. Best wishesDOM

  • Thanks, I'll keep with the garlic and aloe gel. I may pick up the juice as well. There are some other immune enhancers I read about that look interesting. My doctor recommended neosporin for my nose, but I chose the natural route.

  • You might also look into a sinus probiotic. I don't think it will help in healing the wound, but would help in keeping your sinuses clear, and will give your immune system a boost. iFlora is a great brand for probiotics, so hopefully it will help your immune system and keeping the sinuses clear. Good luck.
