Teeth Grinding, Bruxism, or Teeth Clenching?

I'm not sure if anyone of experienced teeth grinding, clenching, and bruxism at night? It is horrible, I have neck and back pains due to this issue. I have checked out mouth guards from dentek and doctor's brand, but everyone swears by night guards from TotalGard. Has anyone purchased any products from TotalGard or know of the company? I've heard great things about their products and I wanted some feedback, before I purchased any night/mouth guards from them.

Thanks,
- Jeff

Thanks,- JeffJeff, I just get the athletic mouth gards that are heated and molded to your teet. Cost about $2.00 at Walmart. Be sure to lengthen the soak time in hot water a little such that the item is very limp, then it will mold to your teeth easier. Replace every few months.

  • I am starting to grind my teeth recently and not sure what cause it. Could stress be a factor?I am also thinking of getting a mouth gard, but felt it would be uncomfortable sleeping with it. Are there any mini one out there (ie. just covering the front row).Thanks.

  • I think I was starting to clench on my teeth since of my brain injury, but my dentist never told me about it. Strange, I been told by an oral surgeon when I avoid do it during the day (When I found picture of clenching and ask other people, they disagree with what the oral surgeon was telling me). I think it mind be a brain signal I need to break from so it can stop.
