Swollen salivary glands & peanut butter

I've had swollen parotid glands for three years now on and off, i've been checked for any obstructions, infection and had a blood test for hiv all of which were negative. The strange thing is that one of the main things that brings them down is peanut butter, could there be a specific nutrient in the peanut butter that my body is lacking which causes them to go down? or is it something else? they seem to get worse when i eat alot at one go or when i eat really sweet foods like doughnuts, could it be related to diabetes?

Potatoes bring them down a fair bit as well and i get pains in my shoulder muscles quite frequently in case that is any help. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
