Strange sensation in my ear.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if you could help me.

Over the past few months, I have had quite an odd sensation (And a quite unpleasent one) in my left ear.

Now and again, I got slightly deaf in my ear, and I get a strange sound which sounds like someone is tapping inside my ear, and blocking up the hole. (It's hard to explain). It's kind of a cross between going up in a plane, and someone flicking my ear.

Also, as well as this, it feels like something is INSIDE my ear, something like a balloon, which swells up now and again, and makes the inside of my ear go hot or cold.

Yesterday, I was sitting on a chair, I put my head back, and it felt like it was filling up with fluid, although there is no visible discharge coming out of my ear.

When I was very little I used to have problems with dry earwax, but havent had that for years.

A few years ago, i blocked my ear up with wax by using a cottonbud too forcebly, and suffered from tinitus for about 3 months afterwards. However there is no problem as such any more.

Nowadays, i used one of those Audiclean (Saltwater solutions) to clean out my ears.

I'm 22 years old, I don't have any allergies, (Apart from adhesives) and I'm Vegetarian. This is really bugging me now. I hate going to the Doctors, and was wondering if anyone has any ideas.

Many Thanks,

  • Have you ever gone to see ENT and had your self checked for menieres disease? you should keep pushing with your drs until they send you to one. i have lost most of my earing now due to drs constantly telling me not to worry about things.
