Sore throat (sharp scratch feeling)

Hi there,

About 2 months ago I swallowed a tiny bit of plastic - I thought it had got stuck but ENT dismissed it as only a scratch - the sensation then stopped after a few days. However, in the past few days the feeling of something stuck has came back, and now the sensation is a lot sharper, and does not seem to be getting any better.

Just wondered if anyone could shed some light on what could be wrong.

  • ENT might consider laryngoscopic exam to see what larynx looks like. Done in-office while you sit in chair with a flexible tube. Having ingested some small glass pieces, I face the same exam.
