  • If you're gonna take antibiotics, then you've got to go the distance and take them till their done. You need to go back and make sure they do a throat culture on you. Sounds like you still have an infection.

  • Streptococcus infections may become quite serious if untreated or if treatment is incomplete. strep may spread to other organs of the body, such as the kidneys and liver and into the joints. this may explain your painful joints. PLEASE contact your physician or go back to the ER ASAP. resuming your antibiotics may be the answer, but the strep may have spread and you might need stronger antibiotics or more powerful Intravenous (int the vein, IV) antibiotics to fight the infection. please don't let this go. You will most likely feel better a day or two after getting the proper treatment. DO NOT be fooled into thinking you are cured and can stop your medicine just because you feel better. This leads to more infection and resistence to antibiotics in the future. GO to the MD or ER today! GOOD LUCK!!!
