Sharp jaw/ear pain..

I have this sharp pain in my ear/temple/jaw area for about 2 weeks. I thought it might be a sinus but I don't feel congested. I went to the doctor and he said it looked like the beginning of an infection. He prescribed Zythromax, ear drops, and flonase. I'm on my fourth day of anti-biotics and the pain is the same if not worse. Is it an infection? Any suggestions?
