reflux diagnosis was wrong

I wanted to post, in case it could help someone in the future. It began with pain on the right side of the throat and moved quickly into swallowing problems and sometimes even breathing. By day 3, I saw an ENT, (I thought by pass PCP and go straight to expert), his diagnosis was lpr, acid reflux. I was given Kapidex and for ten days I struggled with these same symptoms. But now fatigue had set in because of what I thought was my inability to eat food. After another visit he doubled my medication and ordered bloodwork. After a trip to the ER for breathing issues, I tested positive for Epstein Barr Virus and Strep(this was 24 days after symptoms began). Not for sure which one came first, but antibiotics and steriod dose pack have helped.
