I first noticed the red areas besides by nose about 4 months ago, but I have had this rash for about 2 or 3 years (I know this thanks to some older photos). The red areas are located on both sides of my nose, right where the nostrils touch the face, spreading towards the middle of the nose. The red spots don't hurt at all and rarely itch, if I look really close I can see some thin red blood vessels, which seem rather close to the skin.
I went to see a doctor about this, I believe she identified it as some kind of fungus infection (I could be wrong), and wrote my a receipt for Nizoral cream. I haven't seen any result in a month.
The other problem with my nose is that it's stuffy. Almost every time I go to sleep, one of my nostrils completely clogs up. When I'm standing or sitting, I sometimes have to flare my nostrils in order to breath, this usually occurs when I'm in a warm room.
I have no idea, whether these are connected or not.
