Recurring Sore Throat

Been having major re-occurring sore throat / coldy problems for the last year and a half.

Started out as tonsillitis and antibiotics seemed to fix it. 4 weeks later it seem came back, antibiotics again, lather, rinse repeat.

After a while specalist said lets get those tonsils out.. so far was fine for about 2 months.

Then i got it again, more sore throat, feels like all the symptoms of a bad cold. Sick of taking anitiotics as they give me stomache pains and sore backside.

Went back to specialist who now seems to think its allergy related, (original dr said allergies were mild and nothign to worry about) and gave me a $70 a hit nose spray, again this worked...for a little bit and now same thing again. On antibiotics again for the umteenth time.

Now, before you start,

I am a vegetarian but I have had my levels tested several times and all is well. I don't smoke or drink either. 28 y/o male. relatively fit.

anyone experiencing anything similar?
