Pressure In Left Ear

I figured this wasn't important and that it would go away, but it's bothering me now. I'm 16, female, yada yada. Sometimes, it's getting a little more frequent, when I lay on my left side and have my head on the pillow, my ear will suddenly go muffle and feel like there's a bubble in my ear. If I press on the part of my ear that, I think, is near the tragus, I feel like there's a bubble and that's moving around. It hurts and I have no idea what it is. Is it important? It makes my ear muffled and I poke my finger inside my ear, it'll make a popping noise. Sometimes the muffle will go away, sometimes it will just lessen. Help, anyone?

  • Hon, it is time to see an ENT. There are several conditions that can cause that feeling, and they are truly medical issues. Don't let anyone give you the old dumb earcandling either -- that is nothing more than pure, proven garbage and actually risks the person this is done to. Get a referral and have it checked out by an ear specialist -- ENT.
