Parotid glands swelling

Hi,

I have had on and off problems with my parotid glands for a while now (around 7 months and mainly the one my right hand side), They seem to swell/enlarge and become clearly visible at random times until i have something to eat and it will start to go down almost immediatley. Smoking has an almost immediate negative affect and the more i smoke the more the glands swell, ice cold drinks also seem to irritate it.
It also seems to be slightly worse when i wake up (i'm guessing because i haven't eaten in hours and so no saliva needed to be produced), i have slightly impacted wisdom teeth but dentist said they shouldn't cause any problems....i go jogging after work and that seems to bring them right down...please help if you can it's really getting me down :(

PS: I'm 20 years old, healthy and fit

Your dr. can order ultrasound or CT Scan.Good luck. sk
